Foam is a readily available, inexpensive material that provides a lot of design freedom. It is light, chemically inert, easy to handle and simple to install. It can be sculpted, hot wired or routered with ease. It is a wonderful alternative to many other materials and often makes projects more feasible. EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam can be recycled by grinding it up and using it as building insulation, loose packaging fill, soil additive or craft material.

  • EPS does NOT contain CFC's, HCFC's, or formaldehyde.
  • EPS does NOT contribute to the growth of mold or mildew.
  • EPS is considered to be no more toxic than Douglas Fir wood under the worst case fire scenario.
  • EPS is manufactured in accordance with ASTM C578.

Laser scanning is the process of measuring an object by means of a laser beam and digitizing the information. A scanner first transmits a laser beam to the surface of the scanned object and then measures the time it takes for the beam to return to the scanner. During the scan, the scanning system builds a 3D model of the object and once the scan is complete, a CAD system can further modify the computer model if need be. The resulting 3D computer file instructs our CNC router table how to cut the 3D foam replication.
